Korea’s richest man leaves great legacy

The following is an announcement from Samsung Electronics about the passing of Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee. He died on Oct. 25 after being hospitalized for six years.

During his leadership over the past 30 years, watchers point out that Lee left a great legacy _ under his tutelage, Samsung has become one of the world’s strongest brands.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kun-Hee Lee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics. Chairman Lee passed away on October 25 with his family, including Vice Chairman Jay Y. Lee, by his side.”
