New software due for ready-mixed concrete business

South Kora’s Sampyo Group announced on Feb. 21 that it had joined hands with local software program company DFocus to come up with dedicated ERP and MES programs.

By integrating and automating the two programs, Sampyo and DFocus strive to help the operation of ready-mixed concrete business bellwether Sampyo.

Through the joint work, Sampyo vies to preemptively remove the possibility of human mistakes and accidents typically caused by manual inspection.

Short for Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP is used by a variety of organizations to efficiently manage day-to-day business activities across the board.

Included in the activities are accounting, project management, risk management, procurement, and compliance. to name but a few. The process enables companies to do away with data duplication as well as offer data integrity.

Brief for manufacturing execution system, MES is a comprehensive software designed to monitor, track and control the process of churning out goods from raw materials to final products.

Going forward, DFocus is scheduled to offer the combined software on a software-as-a-service basis.

“Through the joint projects with DFocus, we will help employees work in safer environments in a more effective manner,” said Lee Kyung-tae who takes charge of Sampyo’s business administration.

“We have started these projects at the request of our customers. Hence, we will put forth our utmost efforts to strengthen services and marketing activities.”

DFocus CEO Sun Eun-doo vowed to focus on increasing transparency and reliability at the same time.

“The new programs will help reduce costs related to system management. In addition, security and backup services will be enhanced,” he said.
