Korea’s financial outfit supports the youth in need
The Korea Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives (KFCC) announced on Nov. 26 that its affiliated foundation has recently held the closing ceremony for its 2025 youth scholarship program.
The foundation, chaired by KFCC chief Kim In, organized the event as part of its broader youth support initiative, which provides scholarships and diverse developmental programs.
The KFCC noted that the program is designed to help young people establish stability in their daily lives while supporting their growth as healthy and engaged members of society.
In May, the foundation selected 100 young participants who then took part in a six-month curriculum.
The program included lectures, group volunteer activities, team projects, and various experiential sessions aimed at strengthening community engagement and expanding youth networks.
The foundation also provided monthly activity stipends and future leadership scholarships to support their participation, according to the KFCC.
The closing ceremony was attended by Chairman Kim In, board members, and scholarship recipients. Participants reflected on their six-month journey, celebrated achievements, and received completion certificates.
One scholarship recipient shared that the program offered more than financial assistance.
“The initiative strengthened our connection to society and helped them gain confidence to pursue new challenges,” he said. “The experience would continue to guide their personal development going forward.”
A foundation official stressed that the closing ceremony was not an ending, but a moment for young adults to reflect on their time spent with the program and prepare for future steps.
The official expressed hope that the program would continue to help participants grow as active and independent members of society.
Since 2018, the KFCC foundation has supported youth stability and self-reliance through various scholarship initiatives.
“The growth shown by the scholarship recipients represents the foundation’s greatest source of motivation,” Chairman Kim said. “I hope the closing ceremony will serve not as a conclusion but as a new starting point for the challenges ahead.”
