BlingOne is composed of Peruvian members
There is a good piece of news that K-pop fans around the world would want to listen to. ‘BlingOne,’ the first K-pop girl group from Peru is set to debut after the members were selected in the Peruvian season of the global K-pop audition ‘Click the Star.’
For their first performance, they will participate in the recording of ENA Channel’s ‘K-Pop Up Chart Show’ music broadcast on June 26 and perform their title ‘Kiss & Call.’
Click the Star is a global K-pop audition project hosted by the World K-Pop Center. It is a program that selects national representatives from 32 countries around the world and trains 32 global K-pop girl groups.
BlingOne is attracting even more attention because it is composed entirely of Peruvian members.
BlingOne means that there are no restrictions on nurturing K-pop talent, overcoming the limitation that it has mainly focused on Asian members.
Latin American media, such as Panamericana TV, are also showing great interest in the fact that South America, which has had many difficulties with accessibility, is being reborn as a K-pop Blue Ocean.
An official from the World K-Pop Center said, “We are already receiving a lot of love calls from Central and South America, such as Mexico and Colombia who requested to host the next event in their countries.”
“BlingOne’s debut is a blueprint for K-pop that suggests that a K-pop education infrastructure can be established anywhere in the world so that differentiated idol groups can be created,” it added.
“Through the new-type stars’ successful debut on each continent, we will prove that K-pop is no longer exclusive to Korea, but a truly global music genre shared by everyone around the world.”
BlingOne, which already has a large fandom in Peru through the audition project, has members who advanced through the local preliminaries and finals.
The entire process is revealed as a documentary program. After its debut, it will be aired simultaneously on domestic platforms and major local broadcasters in Peru.
Their debut stage will be aired on the ENA channel at 6:30 pm on July 12.
