Karina has not fully recovered: SM Entertainment
K-pop star Karina of the four-member girl group Aespa will miss more concerts midway through this week in Japan’s Fukuoka, according to SM Entertainment on July 30.
The Seoul-based agency noted that health issues were blocking her performance. She also missed the concert in Osaka on July 28.
“Karina has not fully recovered, yet. Hence, the medical team has advised rest and recuperation,” SM Entertainment said in a statement.
“After extensive discussions, it was decided that she would inevitably miss the Fukuoka performances this week as well.”
However, SM Entertainment did not specify the health issues.
As a result, the Fukuoka concert will proceed with the three remaining members of Giselle, Winter, and NingNing as a trio.
As a singer and rapper, Karina is the leader of Aespa, which debuted in 2020. Her real name is Yu Ji-min and was born in April 2000.
