Registered in Nevada back in August
BLACKPINK’s Rosé, who currently enjoys international acclaim with her new single ‘APT.’, has established a music publishing company on the west side of the United States.
According to SilverFlume, Nevada’s business portal, Rosé registered her company Dream APT Publishing on Aug. 28. It is based in Carson City, Nevada, and is managed under her real name, Chaeyoung Park.
Rosé’s decision to launch a separate music company in the U.S. has garnered interest, especially as she signed with the Black Label in June, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, the agency behind BLACKPINK.
The Black Label, founded in May 2016, represents artists such as singer Taeyang and actor Park Bo-gum.
BLACKPINK renewed its contract with YG Entertainment for group activities last year, while members pursue solo projects independently.
Rosé is set to release her first solo album, ‘rosie’, under the Black Label this December, with ‘APT.’ as the lead single.
‘APT.’, a duet with pop star Bruno Mars, was released on Oct. 18 and quickly gained traction for its catchy chorus.
The official music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube within five days of release and crossed the 300 million mark on Nov. 9.
At the end of Oct., ‘APT.’ achieved the highest-ranking position ever by a female K-pop artist on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, climbing to No. 8.
