Mun Ja-young awarded by Ministry of SMEs and Startups
The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) announced on Dec. 6 that its researcher has been awarded a Ministerial Commendation by South Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The researcher is Mun Ja-young from the Global Commercialization Center (GCC). She is also a master’s student in the Graduate School of Management of Technology at KAIST.
The KAIST GCC serves as the lead organization for a program aimed at accelerating the global expansion of startups in cutting-edge industries.
Mun was recognized for her significant contributions in designing tailored programs to help robotics startups overcome challenges in entering global markets.
She played a pivotal role in connecting startups with international partners, building collaboration networks, and enhancing the competitiveness and growth of participating companies.
In her acceptance speech, Mun expressed gratitude to her GCC colleagues, and the 57 robotics startups involved in the project.
“I am deeply thankful for the support and collaboration that made this possible. I hope to continue contributing to innovation and the global commercialization of robotics technology,” she said.
Director Choi Moon-ki, who headed the programs, stressed the collective effort behind this achievement.
“This commendation reflects the dedication of everyone involved in helping Korea’s robotics startups make strides on the global stage. I hope all project participants share in this honor,” he said.
