Scooter Braun, the influential American music executive and current CEO of HYBE America, is stepping down from his leadership role, HYBE announced on July 1.

While Braun will no longer be involved in day-to-day operations, he will continue to serve as a board member and advisor on select HYBE projects. The decision comes as his original contract with the company reaches its conclusion.

Braun became part of HYBE in 2021 when the South Korean entertainment powerhouse acquired his company, Ithaca Holdings.

The deal brought major U.S. assets under HYBE’s umbrella, including Big Machine Label Group and Quality Control Music, both of which Braun oversaw during his tenure.

He initially served as co-CEO of HYBE America alongside former HYBE executive Yoon Seok-jun before assuming the sole CEO role in January 2023.

Isaac Lee, previously the chairman of HYBE America, will succeed Braun and take over management responsibilities.

HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk praised Braun’s contributions, stating that Braun was a visionary partner who helped build HYBE’s presence in the U.S. market and advanced cultural exchange on a global level.
