South Korea’s cybersecurity giant AhnLab announced on Sept. 26 that the company has successfully hosted the “AhnLab Developers Conference 2025” at its head office, south of Seoul, this week.

AhnLab noted that the annual in-house event was designed to enhance the research and development (R&D) capabilities of employees and broaden their knowledge base.

This year’s conference was held under the theme “In the AI Era, What Is the Next Role of Developers?” to explore essential competencies and challenges for developers in AI-driven security environments.

The three-day program began with opening remarks from CEO Kang Suk-kyoon. The agenda featured 20 lectures delivered by company leaders and external experts, according to AhnLab.

“As AI becomes a necessity rather than a choice, developers are moving beyond simple coding to create new forms of value,” Kang said in his opening speech.

“I hope this event inspires our developers to reflect on their role and the company’s direction in the AI era.”

The external speaker sessions featured industry and academic experts in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

AhnLab employees also led internal sessions, organized into three tracks: AI and Practical Applications, AI and Security, and Development, Growth & Culture.

AhnLab said that these sessions provided a platform for employees to share their expertise and insights across diverse areas of development and security.
