The Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation announced on Nov. 4 that it hosted the 7th Mirae Asset Meet-Up Project at the financial group’s head office in Seoul.

The foundation noted that the event has brought together more than 90 overseas exchange scholarship students for a day of learning and networking.

First launched in Nov. 2023, the Meet-Up Project is now in its seventh edition.

With “Innovation” as its central theme, the program is designed to help Mirae Asset scholars broaden their understanding of change and explore their future career paths together, according to Mirae Asset.

During the event, participants attended a special lecture and various exchange activities aimed at fostering meaningful dialogue and insight-sharing.

In the keynote session, Professor Kim Sang-wook, a renowned physicist, spoke about how to ask the right questions and prepare for a rapidly evolving technological environment.

His lecture encouraged students to shift perspectives on technology and to think critically about how to understand and lead in a changing society.

“This program was designed to help our scholars build growth potential through diverse learning and networking opportunities,” a Mirae Asset representative said.

“We will continue to provide platforms that enable participants to respond proactively to change and grow together.”

Since its inception, the Meet-Up Project has invited experts from various fields, including science, technology, and society, to share knowledge and inspire participants.

It has become a platform for scholars from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, ranging from university students to early-career professionals, to exchange ideas and experiences.

To date, more than 540 Mirae Asset scholars have taken part in the program.

Mirae Asset is South Korea’s leading financial group, founded by Chairman Park Hyeon-joo. He established a foundation named after him to help students and the underprivileged both at home and abroad.
