MG Credit Information Service recognized for information security management
The Korea Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives (KFCC) announced on Nov. 12 that its affiliate MG Credit Information Service has obtained ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
It is the internationally recognized standard for information security management systems, according to the country’s top apex organization.
The certification ceremony was held on Nov. 11 at MG Credit Information Service’s head office in Seoul.
The ISO/IEC 27001 certification shows that a company’s information security management system meets strict international standards, ensuring systematic protection of sensitive data.
With this achievement, MG Credit Information Service has been officially recognized for its ability to securely manage customer information and financial data through comprehensive and structured processes.
The KFCC said that its subsidiary has strengthened security measures across key business operations, including debt management and customer consultation.
In particular, the outfit has established management practices aligned with ISO standards to safeguard personal credit and financial transaction data collected during debt management and collection activities.
“This ISO 27001 certification represents more than just the establishment of a security system — it underscores MG Credit Information Service’s commitment to making information protection a core competitive advantage,” company CEO Park Joon-chul said.
“We will continue to prioritize data protection throughout our debt and customer management processes, while enhancing both operational stability and efficiency.”
